Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, the biggest superhero film to hit theatres recently, has created history at the Indian box office. With an opening weekend collection of a staggering Rs 94.30 crore, the Hollywood flick has set the cash registers ringing like never before. Avengers: Infinity War earned Rs 31.30 crore on Day 1 and subsequently earned Rs 30.50 crore and Rs 32.5 crore on day 2 and 3.
If Avengers: Infinity War continues in the same fashion, it will be the fastest Hollywood film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark.
In its US and worldwide market too, Avengers: Infinity War is wreaking havoc. It became the biggest US domestic opener and worldwide opener with earnings of 250 million dollars and 630 million dollars, respectively.
Walt Disney Studios now holds nine of the top 10 biggest openings in North American history.
The Marvel film also set the global record without the help of China — the world’s second-biggest movie market. The film opens in China on May 11.
