New Delhi: In a shattering revelation of adultery in popular dairy brands such as Amul and Mother Dairy, tests conducted on randomly selected samples milk being supplied across the national Capital following the Delhi Government’s order have come out with alarming results. As many as 21 samples of milk, out of the total 165 tested, were found to be of sub-standard quality, said Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Friday, adding that those who failed the tests included prominent brands like Amul and Mother Dairy.
Delhi’s health minister Satyendra Jain was reported saying that the issue was raised during the last session of the Delhi Assembly and he gave directions to test samples of the milk in Delhi. A total of 177 samples across Delhi, including branded and local products.
Reports of 165 tests have come out, and out of these, 21 samples of milk, out of the total 165 tested, including of the two prominent brands, were found to be of substandard quality.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain assertively said that such violations would attract strict penalties, the Minister was reported saying that the punishment for violations, in case of substandard milk could be a penalty ranging between Rs 5,000 to Rs 5 lakh.
